Techtronic Industries is a global leader in power tools and outdoor equipment, with more than 48,000 employees worldwide. To keep pace with the demands of a growing operation, their Mt Waverley, Melbourne facility was in need of some important upgrades.
Aside from an improvement to the functionality of their office environment – matching the standard of a world-class business – their warehouse was holding them back. It needed to be reconfigured for serious high-bay storage, with practical infrastructure works, functionality and safety improvements required in the scope.
In the warehouse, the priority was headroom. Existing lights were lifted to accommodate new high-bay shelving – a change that makes a significant operational difference when you’re running a high-volume storage environment. Exit lighting was relocated and new fittings supplied and installed to meet compliance requirements. Safety strip painting to the entry stairs completed the warehouse works.
Inside the office, the focus shifted to functionality and finish. New power was installed for TV displays, and hanging EchoPanel pendants were specified and installed to create a visual screen to the bathroom area — a practical acoustic and privacy solution that adds a considered design element to the space. Window film privacy was applied to meeting rooms, giving staff the separation they need without compromising natural light.
