Having been established for over 10 years, we have been able to provide our client’s with recommendations and support in relation to products, finishes and space planning over multiple projects, but this was our first major foray into the design and construction of a full office fitout.
Following on from Covid the client was looking for a solution that was innovative and enticing to the staff and encourage their return to work.
First step in the process was to engage with Puzzle Partners who specialise in consulting with clients to imagine the possibilities of how their space can support them now and in the future.
Working closely with Puzzle Partners, FPPV Architecture and a dedicated and passionate team from Breakthrough Victoria we provided end-to-end project management, overseeing the entire fitout process from initial concept through to completion. This included detailed space planning to optimise the layout for their staff, as well as coordinating all trades, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. Custom joinery was installed throughout the office, along with ergonomic workstations and bespoke furniture pieces that matched the company’s design brief.
We also handled the installation of acoustic pods meeting rooms with soundproofing, ensuring privacy for client interactions along with open space work areas for team collaboration. In addition, Axess managed all finishing touches, including AV, signage, flooring, lighting, and painting, to create a polished, professional environment. The entire fitout was completed within the agreed timeline and budget, exceeding the client’s expectations.
The completed fitout for Breakthrough resulted in a highly functional and aesthetically pleasing workspace that significantly improved collaboration within and between teams. The open-plan layout, combined with private meeting rooms and breakout areas, gave the staff a flexible environment that catered to both focused work and group discussions. Breakthrough was particularly impressed with the seamless coordination and timely delivery of the project, which allowed them to move into their new office on time.
The ergonomic workstations and custom-built furniture provided a comfortable, modern setting that enhanced employee satisfaction and well-being. The soundproofed boardrooms and integrated AV setup contributed to a more professional experience for staff, clients and investors. Overall, the project not only met the client’s design and functional goals but also positioned their new office as a space that supports future growth and innovation.
